Homestore Expands Broadcast Of Listings

Homestore announced an agreement today with Internet Broadcasting Systems (IBS) to be the exclusive provider of content for the "Real Estate" channels on network television station Web sites operated by IBS in 40 U.S. markets. These local Web sites are owned and operated by IBS in partnership with NBC; Hearst-Argyle Television; Post-Newsweek Stations, a division of the Washington Post Company; McGraw-Hill Broadcasting Group; Scripps and other high quality broadcasters.

During news broadcasts, the local television affiliates actively encourage consumers to log on to their news channel's Web site for the most up-to-date local information. On the home page of these sites, consumers are presented with the "Real Estate" channel, which features REALTOR.com®, the official site of the National Association of REALTORS®; HomeBuilder.com(TM) and Homestore.com(TM) Apartments and Rentals as well as Homestore.com's "Mortgage" and "Home Affordability" calculators. Through this agreement, Homestore is putting valuable information, including real estate providers and their properties, in the hands of the nearly six million unique users that rely on IBS and their Web sites for local coverage each month.

"By partnering with IBS, Homestore is extending the local marketing reach of our customers," said Mike Long, Homestore's Chief Executive Officer. "We are giving real estate professionals a unique opportunity to market themselves and their properties locally through leading news channels in major markets throughout the United States."

"Our partners' television stations are trusted resources to millions of viewers every day, and these viewers go to their Web sites when looking for additional local information," said Tolman Geffs, IBS's Chief Executive Officer. "We are excited to work with Homestore because they provide the most comprehensive real estate content on the Internet, enabling our partner stations to offer their viewers the most complete house and home information available."

The "Real Estate" channels powered by Homestore will be available at network television Web sites in the following markets: Albuquerque, N.M.; Bakersfield, Calif.; Baltimore; Birmingham, Ala.; Boston; Chicago; Cincinnati; Dallas; Denver; Fort Smith, Ark; Greenville, S.C.; Hartford, Conn.; Honolulu; Indianapolis; Jackson, Miss.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Los Angeles; Louisville, Ky.; Milwaukee; Minneapolis; Monterey, Calif.; New Orleans; New York; Oklahoma City; Omaha, Neb.; Orlando, Fla.; Philadelphia; Pittsburgh; Plattsburgh, Pa.; Providence, R.I.; Raleigh, N.C.; San Antonio; San Diego; San Francisco; Tampa, Fla.; Washington, D.C.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; and Winston Salem, N.C.
